The Danse Macabre (meaning Dance of Death) is a late-medieval depiction of the common bond which unites us all. No matter what roads we travel in life, we all eventually share in the dance of death. The artwork depicts a newly departed soul summoning representatives from all walks of life to dance to the grave. It was created to show how fragile life really is and how trivial were the glories and vanity of our earthly life.
The Black Death was the most devastating plague of all time. It was spread by fleas which traveled on rats. The disease spread like wildfire and by the time it had run its course, 30 to 60 percent of the regions population had been invited to the Danse Macabre.
Printed on high quality 100% ultra cotton for softness and durability, these shirts will make a statement for years to come. Sizes small through 5X-Large.
